Are you a photographer, Merlin? What gives with all the photos?

Hi Shmoop,

I have a camera. I don't think that makes me a photographer. I do like a good photo though.

You settled in your new place yet ?

Gorgeous picture....soothing, peaceful, and hope for the next day all in that same view.

Hi Shmoop...nice to see ya :)

Awww . . . thanks.

Well, I'm pretty much settled into the new place. I really like it. There is so much more natual light than my old place. I really like that. And it's so much easier to keep clean. That's a bonus.

Don't you love photograhy, though? I love that anyone can pick up a camera and take photos. None of that hoity-toity stuff like painting. (Though I love oils unlike so many other photograhers. They are naturally at odds to eachother. Painters hate photography as a general rule.)

I have one final word in regards to my new living arrangements:

Water finds it's own level. The cream rises to the top.

;)

Shmoop,

Glad to hear you're settled. I expect we'll be hearing a bit more from you now ? Hope so.

Yep - I love photography too but I have no idea how I do it. I know it's just pointing a camera but I seem to have an idea what works and what doesn't.

I'd like to paint too though. Maybe......

Men (generally speaking) seem to 'get' cameras better than women. Men like gadgets.

I'll let you in on a secret, kay?

Cameras are great guy magnets. Seriously. Everytime I'm out shooting men gravitate toward me. Of course, they're only interested in the camera. They start asking all sorts of questions. It's kinda cool. I get to do show and tell.

Maybe I should start wearing more revealing shirts when I'm out shooting.

Why didn't I think of that before?!

Shmoop,

Looks like your sense of humour's back : good to see.

Surely you attract the nerdy kind of guys with a camera though ? There again, I keep forgetting you're "nerdy and intoverted" aren't you ?

Like hell you are.

And I'd wear more revealing shirts all the time. Why not ?

If only it was this easy for guys.

"Surely you attract the nerdy kind of guys with a camera though ? There again, I keep forgetting you're "nerdy and intoverted" aren't you ?

I really am. I've got the glasses to prove it. And I'm full of useless knowledge. Most people think I'm dumb until they realize that I simply have no social skills.

LOL

I'm a friendly introvert. I've learned to adapt to a certain extent.

Besides, you contradicted yourself. If nerdy men are shutterbugs, wouldn't a woman who is a shutterbug be a nerd as well?

"No social skills" - now that's me precisely.

Either that or it's finely tuned antennae. You see I just know that 99% of people aren't worth talking to in the first place so why bother making the effort ?

This doesn't mean that you're introverted : it just means that you havn't got enough time to waste.

Which is a good thing really.

M.

No. I really am introverted. I'm not being self-deprecating when I say that.

For me, it's not a matter of people being a waste of time. It's just that I'm not good at small talk.

Shmoop,

I'm being entirely serious as well.

I HATE parties. I only feel comfortable, socially, with a small group of old friends who I've known for years or in a one to one situation with someone I know I like.

As my old friend George used to say " I don't need to meet anyone else M..... ; I already know enough people."

I think I finally understand what that means.
