My sincere thanks to "Heart Of Darkness" ; I unashamedly stole this from her blog although I have asked permission !

HoD : if you object I will - of course - remove it.

I. CANT. BELIEVE. IT.

WTF?

3/31/2007 11:12 am

Bollocks - me neither.

I'm shocked and stunned Brian - as they say.

I love the new pict and the Bio! OMG, the Bio! You're hysterical.

3/31/2007 5:02 pm

Guys are so weird.

3/31/2007 6:57 pm

Ferfe,

"When the going gets weird the weird get going".

Hunter S Thompson.

And I think the going got pretty weird about 5 years ago.

Eva,

I assume you're familiar with the legend of the Masters Of Wisdom and what transpires if the final, missing one ever re-appears and they're all re-united ?

The predicted date and place for him to re-materialise is.........

......you'll find out soon enough!

M.

I think the quote is actually, "When the going gets tough, the weird turn pro." Or something like that. I should google that because it used to be one of my favorite quotes.

4/01/2007 8:51 am

Ferfe,

Certainly there's a quote :

When the going gets tough the tough get going.

But I think Hunter S parodied this.

I'll have to google it too now !

Ferfe,

Well done - both half right.

"When the going gets weird the weird turn pro".

Nice to feel like a "professional".

I want a piece of Man Cake!!!

4/04/2007 2:47 am

Shmoop,

You're a woman : you can bake can't you ?

I know - it's finding the ingrediants that's the problem isn't it ?

M.

4/04/2007 2:57 am

No objection. Thanks for acknowledgning the original baker! LOL

Oh, and shmoop, that's my mancake! Bake your own! :)

4/04/2007 10:14 am

HoD - many thanks. x

Don't worry too much about Shmoop : she has all the necessary equipment to make a man-cake of her own when she's ready.

Karen,

I am calm Ms Scott but much more of this and I'll need sedating.

And someone needs to talk to Scholes - he can't keep doing this in big games.

Merlin, I can't believe that Fergie lets him get away with putting in those crap tackles! He can't tackle for toffee, why doesn't he realise that?

Also, seeing as we were down to ten men, as whatshisface on Sky said, wouldn't it have been better to get a little more defensive when we equalised? Sheesh.

As for the scenes with the Italian police, as far as I can gather, that's normal police behaviour in Italy, especially when it comes to football fans.

I really hope United sue them. Apparently one police man battered a young child amongst all the kerfuffle.

As per usual though, Uefa are going to turn a blind eye, because they hate the English. It really pisses me off.

Not to worry, we'll beat them at home next week, I'm off to the match like a real fan next week, no corporate boxes for me, I'm going to be where the action is!

Chelsea's result is as bad as ours. If they don't score in Spain, they're out too!

I hate to say it, but Liverpool had a blinding game last night, Benitez really knows what he's doing in Europe. Dammit.

4/04/2007 3:25 pm

Karen,

Yeh - we should have held on for a 1-1 but it's not their way is it ?

Roma aren't really that good and I think Fergie wanted to rub their noses in it on the night.

With the right players fit we should beat them at Old Trafford without too much trouble. (I'll be watching it in Bordeaux so I might have to be careful about celebrating too much!).

Chelsea are right in the shit (great) and we all knew PSV were going to be the push-overs of the bunch so no big suprise there.

My dealings with the Italian Police have always been very cordial but I think they over-reacted last night.

You'll just have to arrange to dump a few Roma fans in the Manchester Ship Canal to compensate !.

"Oh, and shmoop, that's my mancake! Bake your own! :)"

You didn't say it was a secret recipe! ;)

4/05/2007 8:33 am

Merlin, I had a bad feeling all day today. I didn't watch the match because I'd gone out with The Boy and his parents.

I wondered last week when Chelsea got that 93rd minute goal, if it was a sign.

If we lose this in the closing satges of the Premiership, I will cry for the rest of the year.

At least Arsenal lost again, that' something to feel cheerful about.

4/07/2007 11:56 am

Karen,

I've had a funny feeling for a while.

I still believe what I said a few weeks ago : it all gets decided at Stamford Bridge - one way or another.

Do you ever say your prayers ? Now's the time to start !

Hugs ( I need them today),

M.

4/07/2007 12:02 pm

I can't help but think of all the times that Chelsea have gone on to win games in the closing minutes. I'm very nervous right now.

Sending you great big cyber hugs!

Changing the subject here . . .

I've been thinking about the Man Cake. And now I'm quite convinced I wouldn't make a Man Cake. Man as Cake doesn't hold as much appeal for as Man Dumplings. I think I'll make Man Dumplings . . .when I'm ready as Merlin says which will probably be never. But it's intriguing to comtemplate just the same.

4/07/2007 1:28 pm

Hi Shmoop,

Good to see you as always.

So tell me ....what's the recipe for man dumpings ? I think we'd all like to know.

And I used to say "never again" but I was wrong - and I seem to be getting more wrong by the day !

Now if I could make a "Banoffee Gateaux Girl" .........

M.

4/08/2007 7:03 am

The Man Dumpling recipe is brewing in my noggin. I'll give it to you when it's ready to be unveiled.

"And I used to say "never again" but I was wrong - and I seem to be getting more wrong by the day!"

Whatever for? Dude!

Same shit + different person = Fresh hell

4/08/2007 9:34 am

Think up a "woman dumpling" recipe for me while you're at it will you ?

I think it's time to give in.

Bob Marley was right wasn't he ?

" No woman , no cry ".

M.

4/08/2007 1:38 pm

Karen,

I don't want Arsenal losing : I want them winning (for the first time ever).

Merci for the cyber-hug : one for you too.

M.

4/08/2007 3:35 pm

"I think it's time to give in."

A grandiose statement if ever there was one. You give me false hope.

There's nothing but trouble here.

4/08/2007 7:26 pm

Shmoop,

Cardiff is also in turmoil - at least my immediate social circle is.

They seem to have embarked on the 5 yearly game of "all change partners" and it's bloody heart-breaking as usual.

Fortunately (?) I'm exempt from this game because :

i) I don't have a partner to swap

ii)I chose to avoid "dating" women in my immediate social circle about 25 years ago.

I'm just getting caught in the crossfire at the moment and I find it all profoundly depressing.

But I have a cure........

M.

4/09/2007 6:26 am

"But I have a cure........"

And you're making me ask what it is. Cough up.

4/09/2007 9:26 am

Easy. Leave town just before the shit hits the fan and don't tell anyone you're going until it's too late.

Works for me every time !

M.

4/09/2007 11:29 am

I think the recipe is flawed. Shouldn't it have no less than 10 cups of passion?

4/09/2007 12:51 pm

Holly,

I think that depends on how hot you want it to get !

I tend to be fairly dis-passionate so a few cups is probably enough.

M.

4/09/2007 2:55 pm

Yes, well, perhaps that's a discussion better left for another day. :)
